Kid Nation

October 16, 2007
Over the weekend I was babysitting my sister's children and during that time the subject of the TV show Kid Nation was brought up by my nephew. If you have any illusions that we live in a free society that is naturally evolving rather than a socially engineered society, this article should dispel you of that illusion.
He explained to me that Kid Nation was a show where 'kids' (I don't like the term since a kid is a young goat, an animal and referring to children as animals dehumanizes them and us all by extension) were in charge of their own town called Bonanza. In this town they competed for rewards similar to Survivor and based on the results of the challenges they received a certain status. The status given was one of Upper Class, Merchant Class (it is actually Merchant but its worth noting that he added class when he described it to me), Chef, or Worker (it is actually Laborer but he said Worker) and each class was given a certain amount of money - $1.00 for Upper Class, $0.50 for Merchants, $0.25 for Chefs and $0.10 for Laborers. He also said that the Upper Class did nothing, the chefs did the cooking and the laborers did all the chores like cleaning.
I did my best to explain to him what predictive programming was and that they were trying to put an idea in his head that this was what the world is supposed to be in the future. My explanation could of been better but he was listening if not completely understanding what I said.

Here is a quote from the above page:
"In each episode, the four town districts compete in a Showdown to determine their place in Bonanza. The first place finishers are awarded Upper-Class and are paid $1.00 in Buffalo nickels each, second place earns Merchant and $0.50 each, third place become the cooks, and are paid $0.25 for their work, while the last place finishers become the Laborers, and earn $0.10. If all of the districts complete the task within a given amount of time, the whole town wins a bonus prize. At the end of each episode a Gold Star is awarded by the Town Council to one deserving child. Also, Jonathan asks any of the children if they would like to leave."
Now, as you can imagine, I have a big problem with this TV program.
First, this is a 'program' in that it is designed to program/indoctrinate the children watching it to accept the fact that this class structure is normal and acceptable. That is to say, it is an example of predictive programming where a concept is given in the guise of entertainment but its true purpose is to plant a conception of the world in the mind of the child that this is what's normal and what you should expect in the future. It is a Pavlovian conditioning exercise to get the children to simply comply and obey when this reality is brought into existence in the future. If I were to look I'm sure I would find that this message is being delivered through multiple TV shows whether they're cartoon, fiction or reality based.
Second, it is bad enough that there is a class structure at all, but it is particularly bad that there is the complete absence of a middle class. This is not by accident or for simplicity of presentation. It is intentional because the world of the future is intended to be a world without a middle class. The middle class have always been a threat to the power and dominance of the elite and as such they plan to eliminate the middle class by any and all means possible. It is worth noting that the gains of the past 100+ years by the middle class have been fought at every turn by the powerful and that many of our ancestors fought and died to achieve the rights and freedoms we enjoy today (the same rights and freedoms that they are taking away every day in the name of security).
Third, competition is used to determine social strata and self worth. Rather than a world of cooperative interaction where people act for the benefit of both themselves and those around them, we have a world where status is solely determined by competition with others. This sends the message that your sole worth is determined by your ability to compete with and dominate others and you will be rewarded for doing so. This promotes the further entrenchment of the already psychopathic, egocentonic system created for us and under which we live today. The message being "take care for you and yours and to hell with everyone else".
And make no mistake about it, the world portrayed in Kid Nation is precisely the world the elite intend to bring about. It is a world of master and servant with all 'slaves' equally impoverished in which the middle class is completely and utterly destroyed. This represents a return to a feudalist, totalitarian social organization desired by the elite.
This 'program' is just one example of the many of science fiction, drama, news, reality or comedy shows being downloaded into people's minds every day. The television is a propagandist's / social engineer's / predictive programmer's dream. As Bertrand Russell, Aldous Huxley and many others have stated it is a tool to form and shape the opinions and beliefs of the masses now and into the distant future. But it is a tool that is only effective if we fail to recognize it as such and acquiesce to it. If we want to remain free, all we have to do is realize that all media is propaganda in one form or another and reject it as such and tell the young to do the same.
