Alan Watt: Cutting Through The Matrix

May 18, 2007
Recently, I've been listening to a bunch of alt radio and podcasts. In case you haven't already checked them out, you should go to
Genesis Communications Network (GCN) and
Republic Broadcasting Network (RBN)
Personally, I prefer Alex Jones on GCN along with Robbie Noel and John Stadtmiller on RBN, but there are are a variety of shows on both networks worth listening to. And let's not forget that listening to radio actually improves you mental capabilties while television decreases them.
More recently, I've come across Alan Watt's site Cutting Through the Matrix. While his web site is amateur in appearance, the information he provides from his audio files is first rate. He is clearly extremely intelligent and provides a level of analysis that includes a broad historical context sorely, and deliberately I might add, lacking in the media today.
He analyzes the current news with a first hand understanding of the historical documents published by the elite over many decades that is unmatched. You will come to understand that society doesn't evolve in some organic fashion but rather as part of the elite's business plan that has been executed over hundreds of years. While you and I may have only recently awaken from the socially engineered construct we live in, the fact is, as he explains, this is nothing new at all. The elites are psychopaths that have ruled since complex societies developed.
When you think about it, this makes sense. The most ruthless always rise to the top. In modern days, we have only to look at our corporations to see it in action. The most ruthless and uncaring get ahead. Moreover, corporations are psychopathic by their very nature, so it should come as no surprise that those leading them are as well. The movie "The Corporation" shows this quite well.
I particularly like his insight on predictive programming.
Researcher Michael Hoffman defines "predictive programming" as follows: "Predictive
programming works by means of the propagation of the illusion of an infallibly accurate
vision of how the world is going to look in the future". Through the circulation
of science "fiction" literature, the ignorant masses are provided with semiotic
intimations of coming events. Within such literary works are narrative paradigms
that are politically and socially expedient to the power elite. Thus, when the future
unfolds as planned, it assumes the paradigmatic character of the "fiction" that
foretold it.
The TV show "24" (torture is OK) and Star Trek (one world government is inevitable)
are good examples of predictive programming. You can look at virtually every sci-fi
program being offered in the same way. There are meta-messages and cultural memes
being propagated in them all.
