The First Global Revolution by the Club of Rome (1992)

July 6, 2007
I am currently reading "The First Global Revolution" published by the Club of Rome in 1992.
While it is largely a slick piece of propaganda to convince the local elites as to the importance of going along with a one world government and the importance of a global approach to solving the world's problems, there are a few telling statements throughout.
When you read it, you need to substitute "might be", "could be", "possibly", "has happened" etc. with "will be", "has happened" or "we've made happen". When you do that you can actually understand the agenda being advanced. In many cases that is not even necessary as they simply state outright many truths.
Here are some excerpts that show some of those true statements (out of context but telling nonetheless):
"At present, it [the Club of Rome] comprises one hundred individuals from fifty three countries". Can you spell elite?
They talk about an interactive computer models being used in the early 70's while they tell us computer technology was all about punch cards and computers filling huge rooms. Gee, I wonder why?
"This powerful extension of the media has extended worldwide during our period; it is employed for the conditioning of populations to accept the acts of dictators, for educational purposes, for the broadcasting of news and opinions often with distortion and trivialization and, above all, for entertainment." No, it can't be, the media can't be manipulated and controlled.
"Another critical aspect will be the growing competition for resources of all kinds - particularly energy, water and viable land for living - as population grows and environmental problems increase." Maybe we should start a war or two to take control of these resources.
"...men and women need a common motivation, namely a common adversary to organize and act together" Perhaps Islamic terrorists would work.
"The scapegoat practice is as old as mankind". Gee, I wonder if 9/11 is an example of this.
"New enemies, therefore, have to be identified, new strategies imagined, new weapons devised." Terrorism or global warming would fit the bill nicely.
"As now practised, democracy is no longer well suited for the tasks ahead." I wonder what form of dictatorship they think would be well suited to the task.
"In searching for a new enemy to unite us, we came up with the idea that pollution, the threat of global warming, water shortages, famine, and the like would fit the bill. In their totality and in their interactions these phenomena do constitute a common threat which demands the solidarity of all peoples. But in designating them as the enemy, we fall into the trap about which we have already warned, namely mistaking symptoms for causes. All these dangers are caused by human intervention and it is only through changed attitudes and behaviour that they can be overcome. The real enemy, then, is humanity itself." I guess I'm the enemy breathing out CO2 and need to die as such.
"Their [children's] parents now have to seek their consent and negotiate their own formerly unquestionable authority." Yah, I wonder who created this situation.
"Without trying to be exhaustive we should also mention a number of gaps that are contributing to the human malaise, for example the lack of understanding between the elite and the masses..." Hmmm...the elite, which most people don't even know are ruling them, are misunderstood. No, we understand they are a parasitic class ruling us with the iron fist, enacting a business plan with a definite desired outcome.
"Hence we produce the concept of the resolutique, an approach which necessitates a simulataneous and comprehesive attack on all problems at every level." Yep, they are well organized and more than capable of attacking the masses on multiple simulaneous fronts.
"By far the most urgent of these is Earth-Warming which threatens the global economic and social system." Who is threatened by a process that has been happening for thousands of years? Perhaps the rulers of the global economic and social system. I wonder if they want to exploit the opportunity it presents to increase their control over the population.
Reading the books of the elite is alway enlightening, whether it is the Anglo-American Estalishment, Tragedy and Hope, Between Two Ages, The First Global Revolution, or predictive programming books like 1984 or Brave New World.
As I write this, I am listening to my iPod where I'm being conditioned to accept hearing voices in my head in preparation to accepting a chip in my head. But even so I can see the agenda as any truth seeking person can.
