Opposition to the SPP / North American Union

Today I sent an email to my member of parliament Gary Lunn voicing my opposition to the SPP and its true objective the North American Union. Here are the details:

Dear Mr. Lunn,
I am one of your constituents in the Saanich Gulf Islands riding and am writing to you today to voice my opposition to the North American Union (integration of Canada, the US and Mexico) which you so clearly support as evidenced by your government's participation in the Security and Prosperity Partnership of North America Agreement. I have read the SPP documents and the consequences of the integration of our political, economic, monetary, social, health care, military, energy, and transportation systems along with harmonization of our food, health and environmental regulations being undertaken are clear. It is nothing less than the handing over of our sovereignty to an unelected and unaccountable body controlled by private corporate interests. This is something I personally find abhorrent and totally unacceptable.
The approach you are taking is virtually identical to the approach taken to establish the European Union - one of stealth and constant denial of the true objective. The parallels between NAFTA and the SPP to the European Union's Treaty of Rome and later agreements are undeniable.
You clearly support the Fraser Institute's position as stated in the "Case
for the Amero", the Council on Foreign Relations call for the
End of National Currency , and the Council on Foreign Relations vision for North America as established in "Building
a North American Community". While a greater North American Community will undoubtedly benefit yourself and the other corporate and political elite, it along with the general globalization trend will inevitably result in the destruction of the middle class of this country as good industrial and technical jobs continue to be shipped abroad. How could you betray us? Do you have a conscience?
I want to explicitly voice my opposition to your government's plans to advance this agenda. In case you have any doubt, let me just say that we know what the Canadian Council of Chief Executives and your government are planning for us and are actively working toward. And we, the people of this great country oppose it and will hold you and your government accountable for your actions.
