Aldous Huxley Speaks at Berkley

July 13, 2007
If you haven't already listened to it, you might be interested in listening to Aldous Huxley discuss mind control, scientific dictatorship, drugs etc. Below is a talk he gave at Berkley University in the 1960's on those topics.

Here are a few gems from the Berkley talk:
- He says the "ruling oligarchy that has always existed and I presume will always exist
"
- There are ways to "get people to love their servitude"
- The Brave New World scientific caste system is in process of coming true
- "I think there are going to be scientific dictatorships in the world"
- Pavlov found "conditioning techniques apply to animals and humans in conditions of psychological stress"
- In the recent history of brainwashing..."we see that the Pavlovian methods have been applied systematically and evidently with extraordinary efficacy"
- "There can be no doubt that by the application of these [Pavlovian] methods an army of totally devoted people has been created. The conditioning has been driven into them."
- On straight suggestion and hypnosis - "we know the statistical structure in regard to their susceptibility"
And that is just in the first 18 minutes.
Well, as a member of the elite himself, he would know. I'm still not sure whether he was just a detached intellectual or in the service of the elite power structure as was his brother Julian Huxley, the founder of UNESCO (the agency responsible for vaccinated/poisoning/sterilizing/giving AIDS) and WWF. Insightful and educational either way.
